Operation: Trusted Angel

I am already hard at work writing the next book in the Shepherd Security Series, Operation: Trusted Angel.

This is Michaela’s story, and it picks up a few months after they get back from the Beach, after getting together. Things really heat up—Chicago proves to be hotter than the Beach!

On this book cover are Michaela, Shepherd and Cooper. When we shot the cover (we do all cover shoots in my living room) the models laughed so hard, thinking this was a ménage à trois story. It, of course, is not, but I hope my readers find this one a page turner!

Michaela has been in every book, but until Beach Angel, we didn’t really get to know her. She’s been a friend to many, Angel and Madison, Garcia and Lambchop.
In this book, we find out about her past, how she got the knowledge to be their tech goddess, how she met Shepherd, and why she’d been standoffish for so long, not engaging with anyone at the agency until Angel became a part of it.

Everyone has a past, and Michaela’s is not what anyone would expect.
More to follow - I am planning a late May 2021 release of Operation: Trusted Angel

I have 20 books planned in the series. If you haven’t read one yet, please give it a try!

Shepherd’s book, Operation: Healing Angel makes book 9 in the series.
Michaela’s story, Operation: Trusted Angel makes book 10.

The next few books in the series are:

Book 11 - Operation: Spirit Angel, Michael Cooper’s story
Book 12 - Operation: Blood Angel, Brody ‘BT’ Templeton, former Ops analyst, current Team Leader for Echo Team

Also planned and not necessarily in this order, are:

Operation: Silent Angel, Yvette ‘Control’ Donaldson’s story
Operation: Broken Angel, Charlie Team’s medic, Mike ‘Powder’ Rogers’ story
Operation: Valiant Angel, Charlie Team’s Leader, Jimmy ‘Taco’ Wilson’s story
Operation: Sharp Angel, Charlie Team’s Carter ‘Moe’ Tessman’s story
Operation: Static Angel, Charlie Team’s Rich Burke’s Story
Operation: Shadow Angel, Ops Analyst and Digital Team member, Caleb ‘Hound dog’ Smith

Unnamed but planned:
Joe Lassiter’s story

Happy Thanksgiving to my US Readers

I am thankful for so much this year. I am very thankful for you, my readers.
For many, this year has been very challenging. I have tried to stay focused on my writing and the world of Shepherd Security. I have also enjoyed wonderful escapes through reading many different kinds of stories. I am an avid reader of many genres in addition to writing. I think that is one of the greatest things an engaging story can do—take us out of reality and embroil us in a fanciful tale with larger-than-life characters whose lives we get pulled into. I will admit I have stayed up way too late to finish just one more chapter in a book that hooked me.

I hope the Shepherd Security Series does that for you.
Right now, I am working on Book 9, Shepherd’s story, Operation: Healing Angel.
I was hoping to have it out by Christmas. It is looking unlikely at this point that I will because of the many interruptions that have limited my time to write it and the many interruptions that I know will occur in the next 2 weeks. If I miss Christmas, I am shooting for a New Year’s Eve release. With that being said, regarding Shepherd’s story, it has to be perfect. He deserves the most thought and time given by me to “get it right” to craft his story to be what you, the reader, expects.

I will keep you advised of the release date of Shepherd’s story. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and that you can count many things you are thankful for. I thank our military members who are far from home this holiday season for their sacrifices. Their family members too.

Our military members are special! I honor all past, present, and future members of our military with my stories. Salute the flag, stand for our national anthem, and thank a Vet for their service. Freedom is not free, a lot of people sacrificed for the freedoms we enjoy.
Don’t ever forget!

Shepherd Security Video Shoot!

8/31/2020

We did the coolest thing! Five of your favorite Shepherd Security cover models met me for a video shoot. I hired a videographer and a tactical expert, wrote a script, and I directed the video. The link to the completed video will be available soon - I will share it when it is done and posted on YouTube. Below is a slideshow of 13 of the pictures from the shoot and a short behind the scenes video posted on YouTube. Even though it was 95 degrees where we shot the video, we had so much fun!

Unknown to Beach...the story continues

7/16/2020

As I wrote the conclusion of Operation: Unknown Angel, the final resolution switched from Mother & Annaka's perspective to Lambchop's in my head. I thought I had concluded that story well enough with the arrest that was made in the last chapter, but from some of the reviews and emails I've received, it seems many of you do not think it did. Have no fear, a full resolution comes as part of Operation: Beach Angel.

Beach Angel has been a bit of a challenge to write, as much of Landon 'Lambchop' Johnson's story is influenced by specific events from his senior year of high school, and his time as a SEAL. I’ve incorporated those events into the story, which has caused shifting timelines in the story, something no other book in the series has. I will be anxious to hear your feedback on it and on how well I’ve pulled it off!

I anticipate releasing Operation: Beach Angel is September.

And then Shepherd’s story is next in Operation: Healing Angel – which I am planning a December release (just in time for Christmas!)

If you haven’t gone to my page on this website and looked at the next few book covers, take a look now! After Shepherd’s story, I am planning, Michaela’s, BT’s, Michael’s, Yvette’s, and Mike ‘Powder’ Rogers’ stories.

Thank you for reading my books! Your support is amazing.
All my best,
Margaret

Your name as a character in a future Shepherd Security book!

Thank you for taking a minute to drop by! I love to write the Shepherd Security Series! The characters are all like family to me now. I have many more books planned in the series. I’m writing Mother’s story now. The next will be Lambchop’s to complete Delta Team, and then Shepherd gets his own story!

My last survey asked you which couple was your favorite. I had so much fun seeing the votes come in! I was surprised that Angel & Jackson won by a landslide!

This time, I have 3 questions for you, and as a thank you for taking the time to answer, I will do a raffle and use a name you provide me as character names in my future books. I will draw at least 6 names right away and post the results here on this blog page on May 10th!! I’m always looking for names for my characters, so even if yours is not drawn right away, you may see it in a later book.

Book #6 Operation Bayou Angel is coming along nicely. I am very pleased with the story and who my main characters, Brielle Jarboe and Brian Sherman are and how their story is developing. I get a lot of emails from readers who tell me how they like or dislike certain characters.
It seems most people have a favorite couple. I thought it would be fun to ask you, the reader, who your favorite is. Please pick 1 below! If you want to tell me why, please add a comment to the post.

    I really want to know:

Wow! Thank you, my readers. You have made Operation: Fallen Angel reach #9 on Amazon’s Best Sellers List for Romantic Action & Adventure. I am humbled and amazed—yes I say that often, but I truly am. Thank you also to those of you who left me reviews and ratings on Amazon and Goodreads. I do read every single one.

And for those who have asked, yes, Shepherd is getting his own book. His will come after all four members of Delta Team’s stories. All the covers are posted to my page on this website (including Shepherd’s).

Thank you again, my readers.
